East Sussex Save the NHS is co-hosting a screening of the Great NHS Heist with Hastings Peoples Assembly on 28th April. The film will be shown at the Pig in Hastings and tickets are available, free of charge, on Eventbrite. We would appreciate it if you could book a ticket as it does assist the organisers.
The Great NHS Heist was co-written by working GP, campaigner and film producer Dr Bob Gill. It aims to shown how our NHS is being steadily dismantled by successive governments, allowing private health and insurance corporations access to proft from our healthcare. This steady move towards a US style system has never been given any sort of democratic mandate. Yet, it is the reason why today we are witnessing the greatest crisis in healthcare since the service began in 1948. The film exposes the deceit of governments and big business who have collaberated in the dismantling of our NHS. It lays a solid foundation upon which to build support for the renationalisation of Britain’s healthcare system.
We are delighted that Dr Gill has offered to come down for a Q&A session after the event. We will also have Antonio Berelson, a local nurse and RCN member speaking.
